Your journey begins in Salvador da Bahia, the cradle of Afro-Brazilian culture, where music, mysticism, and joie de vivre captivate you from the very first moment. At the market of São Joaquim on the banks of the Baía de Todos os Santos, you dive into the bustling everyday life before a panoramic drive takes you past the famous pilgrimage church Bonfim to the Mercado Modelo. In a percussion class, you will feel the African rhythms of the city in your own body, and in the evening, you can expect an exciting dance show at the Miguel-Santana Theater that tells Brazil's history in motion.

From the coastal flair of Salvador, you head into the wild interior to Chapada Diamantina, a landscape of cliffs, valleys, and centuries-old traces of diamond mining. For the crowning conclusion, you will fly to Fernando de Noronha, one of the most spectacular island archipelagos in Brazil, located in the middle of the Atlantic. You will discover the most famous beaches and viewpoints of the island – from Porto and Sancho to the Bay of Pigs and Cacimba do Padre to Mirante dos Golfinhos – during sunsets that you would prefer to experience from a boat tour. The days here pass away from the usual tourist paths while snorkeling, diving, or simply relaxing on the beach, before you leisurely begin your return journey via Recife.
