Suites & Villas
The accommodations in the main lodge include 18 bright, air-conditioned units that combine traditional Pantanal culture with modern comfort and feature a terrace as well as fans. The standard suites offer coziness on 45 square meters, while the 52 square meter superior suites are additionally equipped with a coffee machine and minibar. The luxurious master suite guarantees a maximum of privacy on 80 square meters with a separate living room, a wardrobe, and a terrace overlooking the picturesque bay. For small groups, the exclusive private villas Baiazinha and Cordilheira, designed in traditional ranch style, with five or six rooms, a private pool, and private vehicle are also available.
Culinary
Traditional Brazilian cuisine is the gastronomy of the house and is served as full board in buffet form. To ensure freshness, the organic fruits and vegetables come directly from the farm's own cultivation or from local suppliers in the region. At least once during the stay, a traditional barbecue with grilled meat pieces from the farm is held under fairy lights on the outdoor decks. A special cultural immersion is promised by the authentic 'cowboy breakfast', accompanied by a long-time farm employee, featuring manioc, ground meat, rice, beans, and fried cheese bread. A cozy lounge and a pool bar round off the culinary offerings with refreshing drinks.
Activities
The exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage site is accompanied by specialized guides and local trackers who share their deep knowledge of the uniquely diverse ecosystem. In addition to classic hiking on nature trails and canoe tours to the colorful sunset, the safaris in open off-road vehicles are the absolute highlight: Here you have the unique chance to get close to the spotted jaguar in the wild. Nighttime spotlight tours also allow you to observe the behavior of nocturnal animals like ocelots or giant anteaters. Many other activities such as birdwatching or horseback riding are offered.
Location
The Caiman nature refuge is located in the geographical center of South America, about 36 kilometers from the small town of Miranda, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The 53,000-hectare ranch is situated in the middle of the protected Pantanal biosphere reserve and guarantees excellent and undisturbed wildlife observations due to its seclusion. The nearest airport in Bonito is about two and a half hours by car, while the main airport in Campo Grande can be reached after a drive of about three and a half hours over partly unpaved roads.
