Rooms

Rooms and suites range from 55 to 195 square meters, most of them with a view of the Sea of Cortez. The Oceanfront Palmilla Room features a daybed outside and is optionally available with a private plunge pool on the terrace. Three junior suites share the same area and differ in orientation and amenities, from views of the sea and garden to the version with a plunge pool by the water. Families can find units with two bedrooms and adjoining terraces, designed for six to eight guests. Closer to the sand are the Casita suites, the largest of which has an infinity pool that wraps around the terrace.

Culinary

The selection ranges from Baja flavors to Japanese-influenced cuisine, spread over six locations in the resort. Agua above the Sea of Cortez serves all day, from breakfast in the sun to dinner in the moonlight. Those who don't want to leave the pool can dine at the open-air brasserie Breeze with a view to the water or a few steps away on the sand, where the Pelican Bar & Grill serves mezze and grilled fish. In the evening, the kitchen comes together when Hoshi incorporates Nikkei flavors from Peru and SEARED fires up its wood grill. The Palmilla Social Club catches the golf round, with Lucille's Kitchen for post-hunger and Lucille's Café for the sundowner.

Activities

Most activities start in the water, at Pelican Beach with a snorkeling round over the bay or an hour on a stand-up paddleboard. Those who want to go further can charter a yacht with crew or go sport fishing, where your catch comes back as 'sea-to-table' for dinner. The coast of Los Cabos is home to both whales and dolphins, and from May to August, you dive with mobula rays. On land, the Palmilla Golf Club, with its 27 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus, also includes the private courses Arroyo and Mountain. Two tennis and two pickleball courts are located by the clubhouse, while the spa offers holistic treatments and a Mexican spiritual healer.

Location

The resort is located on the east coast of the Baja Peninsula, where desert sand and sea meet directly. The international airport Los Cabos is 27 kilometers away, about twenty minutes by car, which the house provides upon request. The coast here is one of the few sections of the region where swimming is safe, and exactly this is what the house is designed for. San José del Cabo is within reach and merits the journey for its galleries and the old town. The history of the place goes back to the 1950s when the first resort in Los Cabos was built at this location.
