Casa Legado

Quinta Camacho is one of the upscale neighborhoods of Bogotá, and there stand the two adjacent townhouses of Casa Legado. Forged arches lead into one, the other follows the design language of the 1950s over two floors. Helena and Lucho created both buildings and named the rooms after people from their family, whose character is reflected in the furnishings. Nine living areas are added, from the indoor garden with glass pavilion to the fireplace in the living room, and the Michelin Guide lists the address with a Michelin Key. You only realize what this understanding of home means when you have stayed for a while.

Rooms

The 13 rooms are spread across two houses, seven in Casa Sobrinos and six in Casa Hermanos. Each is named after a family member and is furnished differently. The areas range from 18 to 47 square meters, from standard rooms to superior and deluxe categories to the Lucho suite with balcony. The largest is The Laura on the upper floor of Casa Hermanos, where a sliding door divides the room into two areas and the windows face the street. If you are traveling as a group, you occupy a house completely, Casa Sobrinos for up to 17 guests, Casa Hermanos for up to 15. The dining table and the living room then belong only to you for the duration of your stay.

Culinary

The kitchen is the declared heart of the house and remains open. You help yourself to the fridge and pantry whenever you like. The space belongs to gathering together, the cooking is taken care of by the house. Warm meals are served on the Friendly Deck, named after the friends who have become part of the house family over time. The in-house menu brings together home cooking and cocktails, changing with the seasons. In the evenings, this can be extended with raclette at the table or a picnic in the garden.

Activities

The wellness studio is hidden in Casa Hermanos, where a 60-minute massage with essential oils awaits you. The house rituals are shorter, around 50 minutes with eye care or facial mask. The fireplace named after Lina in the living room of Casa Sobrinos is intended as a meeting point, the Solar as a light retreat in the afternoon. The Selva de la memoria tells of friends and family of the house, and you leave your own mark there. Those who want to explore Quinta Camacho can take one of the bicycles, as cafés and galleries are within walking distance.

Location

Quinta Camacho belongs to the Chapinero district, a developed part in the north of Bogotá. The Zona G begins right next to the neighborhood and offers the densest restaurant selection in the city. Fifteen minutes by car separate you from the historic center La Candelaria, where the Gold Museum and the Plaza de Bolívar are located. The local mountain Monserrate can be reached by cable car and offers a view over the entire high valley. The airport El Dorado is about 13 kilometers away.
