Nomad Lodge
After a two-hour boat ride from Leticia, past dense rainforest, a wooden walkway leads directly to a massive tree - this is where the Nomad Lodge begins, in the midst of the most species-rich ecosystem on Earth. Since 2016, the project founded by travel expert Pierre Kruger has combined luxurious retreat with active nature conservation: All employees come from the neighboring communities of the Tikuna, Cocama, and Yagua, and 20 percent of the revenue goes directly back into the protection of rainforest and culture. The bungalows were built entirely from local materials and nestle into the tree crowns, instead of displacing the landscape - with a minimal ecological footprint. The project has already planted over 15,000 native trees, a tangible testament to the lodge's commitment to sustainability. Varied activities and encounters with the surrounding indigenous communities perfectly round off the time spent in the Amazon.

The accommodations, known as Cocoon Suites, offer a successful blend of sustainable luxury and excellent comfort on a generous 70 square meters. Built from purely local materials, the wooden bungalows impress with an open design that harmoniously integrates into the crowns of the trees. Large window fronts and private balconies provide direct views of the rugged nature of the Amazon and create the feeling of being one with the surroundings. The decor emphasizes elegant simplicity and natural textures to provide guests with a place of complete relaxation after an eventful day.
Culinary
In the Nomad Lodge, cooking is done differently - in the kitchen, honest, shared enjoyment is celebrated through the transmission of local traditions. The kitchen team works closely with the women of the surrounding villages to refine traditional Amazonian recipes with a modern touch. Daily, local families bring fresh fruits and vegetables, while local fishermen offer their catch of the day. A special highlight for breakfast is the daily freshly baked bread from Magaly, a young baker from the region, as well as her delicious dessert creations.

The days in the rainforest offer the perfect balance of intense adventures and deep, undisturbed tranquility. Just a few steps away from the lodge, the path leads deep into the dense jungle, where a species-rich wildlife can be observed up close with a camera or binoculars. After the excursions, the private balconies of the accommodations invite you to listen to the intense evening melodies of nature, the birds, and the gentle rustle of water while enjoying a glass of wine. As a welcome gesture, guests can also expect a personal attention in the room, inspired by local traditions.

The lodge is located in one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, near the Amacayacu National Park in the Colombian Amazon rainforest - where Colombia, Peru, and Brazil meet. The facility is only accessible by a two-hour boat ride from Leticia, ensuring seclusion and absolute tranquility from the very beginning. In direct proximity are the villages of the Tikuna, Cocama, and Yagua communities, which provide you with an authentic insight into their centuries-old knowledge and traditional way of life.
